ORGANIC COTTON

25% of all pesticides used today go onto conventional cotton crops around the world. All of the pesticides used in cotton production are dangerous and many of them contain known cancer-causing agents. Who wants that stuff contaminating our water, land and air? No one, we’re sure. That’s why we use certified organically grown cotton for our products.

Organically grown cotton is not only better for the environment but also for people who grow and process the cotton -- they avoid toxic chemicals and sweatshop practices. Organic cotton clothing also reduces exposure to toxic chemicals for those of us with sensitive skin (like babies, for instance).

WATER-BASED INKS

We use water-based inks for the silk screened products we offer. These inks are free from PVC’s. Byproducts of PVC, such as dioxin, hydrochloric acid, and vinyl chloride are very unfriendly things.

PACKAGING AND THE LITTLE THINGS

We want your experience with us to be as wonderful as possible -- even in the little things. Like inside the recycled shipping box, we use a cellulose bag to protect your order (these bags are 100% biodegradeable but keep your purchase nice and clean). Our gift box is made from 100% recycled fibers. Our gift wrap ribbon is 100% natural cotton and is completely biodegradable and dyed using soy-based inks. The tissue paper we use contains 75% recycle content. Heck, even our packing tape is eco-friendly, biodegradable with a water-based adhesive which is solvent-free. We do our best to avoid any unnecessary use of our resources, but whatever we use, we’ll make sure to lessen the impact.

SOME WIND ENERGY

Through the Blue Sky Program offered by our power company, we purchase blocks of clean, renewable wind energy to power our office. Ahhh, now the computer smells a little less guilty.
